IIM-CAT Integrated Online Batch Program

The IIM-CAT Integrated Online Batch Program is the online version of the IIM-CAT Class Room Integrated Batch Program. You enjoy the same class experience of students of regular offline batches and the same features.

The IIM-CAT Integrated Online Batch Program is designed for students who :

1. If you are geographically far away from our learning centres but can attend online classes
2. If you want complete personalized attention with real time monitoring of your progress by the teacher.
3. If you have three to four months to prepare for the IIM-CAT.
4. If you are a high achiever and are ready to work hard to get the best possible score on the IIM-CAT.
5. If you cannot attend classes on weekends at our learning centers.
6. Program is conducted on the lines of an offline classroom program and capitalizes on the benefits of an online program

The IIM-CAT Class Room Integrated Batch Program covers each topic in five stages :

1. Analysis of Student Performance - The program commences with a Benchmarking Test taken by the student at home or our learning centre. The reported performance of the student is assessed and an Analysis of Test Performance Report is prepared by teachers and is discussed with the student.
2. Learning and Benchmarking Stage –
   1. As the first part of the class room program, the student attempts a Pre-Work assignment to increase familiarity with a topic and understand the challenges involved.
   2. To begin the real learning, you attend classes where your teacher teaches you all the topics that appear on the IIM-CAT. Your teacher will teach you each and every subtopic and concept tested on the IIM-CAT.
   3. After teaching of concepts, your teacher will subject you to concept-testing to identify any concepts that you may not have understood.
   4. Then your teacher will attempt some real IIM-CAT questions to make you understand how to apply the learnt concepts to solve questions.
   5. As a next step your teacher will give you a class-exercise with real IIM-CAT questions, from The Official Guide to the IIM-CAT by the GMAC, as a final test of your competence and identify any loopholes that may still be present and we plug them up.
   6. Homework is assigned at the end of each class. Homework is designed to recall and revise class learning. Homework comprises of attempting the taught topics in a homework-workbook topic-wise. This workbook comprehensively covers all concepts and strategies needed to excel in the verbal section of IIM-CAT. It would have concepts in three formats
      1. Revision - Written concepts to be learnt
      2. Recall - Concepts with blanks to be filled up to check your present situation.
      3. Practice - Objective questions to be attempted to check your present situation.
3. Concept Clarity Stage - After you have completed a certain module of the workbook, you submit the workbook so that it can be manually checked by your teacher. If you make a certain mistake or if you do not attempt a certain item, this indicates you need clarity on that concept and your teacher helps you with it. This step will ensure that you master each and every concept and strategy needed to excel in every section of IIM-CAT.
4. Concept Application Stage - Last step is to apply your knowledge on a set of questionnaires. These questionnaires have all questions that have been tested in the official guides and papers released by GMAC over the last twenty years. While practicing the questionnaires, you have to identify and address 4 types of questions :
   1. Questions that you cannot attempt
   2. Questions on which you mark a wrong answer
   3. Questions where you need a faster way to attempt
   4. Questions on which you have some confusion and need more clarity
5. Simulated Exam Stage – During the last stage you attempt Simulated / Mock Exams to understand, learn and excel in test dynamics. Here you learn how to build stamina to attempt a 4-hour test, do time management/pacing, learn to maximize scores with your present knowledge, and develop a test attitude.

Study materials Provided - You get the following four things (a to d ):

1. 1. Workbooks/Manuals covering concepts and strategies that are required for the IIM-CAT and questions in different formats to drive home concepts and for the purpose of benchmarking your present position and identifying areas where your knowledge is lacking.
   2. Questionnaires on Sentence Correction, Critical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Problem Solving, Data Sufficiency, Integrated Reasoning
   3. Prompts on Analytical Writing Assessment
   4. Manual checking of your workbook responses by your teacher
