Advanced Placement Examination is offered to Indian students in 24 subjects. The Advanced Placement Examinations are administered each year in May. Advanced Placement exams test centers at Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.
The tests are the culmination of year-long Advanced Placement (AP) courses. All but one of the AP exams combine multiple-choice questions with a free-response section in either essay or problem-solving format. AP Studio Art, the sole exception, requires students to submit a portfolio for review.
Advanced Placement (AP) exams are administered by the American College Board in the US for high school students. They may be recognized by Canadian institutions for advanced credit.
